Spaces Available for Artists at Edinburgh Art Trail August 2025

Exciting news! We have been offered spaces for artist to show in during our art trail on 30-31 August 2025. Three organisations have made the following generous offers:

  • Craw’s Nest, Currie: private business space for three artists with a kitchen area and toilets just off Lanark Road West.
  • Colinton Village Enterprise: community charity-owned space for three artists within their stone stables building. The Shed is located in Spylaw Park. There are gazebos to move outside should conditions allow. Also with toilets and the possibility of a pop-up cafe!
  • Hub@531: community charity-owned space in Juniper Green on Lanark Rd, also with kitchen and toilet facilities.

If you own a space in our catchment area of the villages in the valley of the upper Water of Leith, southwest Edinburgh, please get in touch with us. We are looking for spaces to let artists use on 30-31 August 2025 as part of the art trail.

Hello- I am an artist living on Spylaw Bank Road, Colinton and am considering applying for the above event. I do not have a studio in my house or garden but am planning to do so by August 2026. I note however there are spaces available to exhibit work in external venues.  Before applying, I just wanted to check whether I would be eligible to do so as I do not have a studio locally at present? Many thanks- Ceri Hughes

Hi there. Thanks for your query. Yes, there are some spaces. Please apply and just make it clear in the form. Once the selection committee meets to match selected artists to spaces, we will run a reserve list of artists if there are not currently enough spaces on offer. You could also help by seeking out spaces in the area for us to use.

Thanks for getting back to me so promptly-I realised with horror I had not got back in touch with you and I apologise for this. I am fully intending submitting an application today or by the deadline tomorrow…only a few tweaks to go! If I am successful, I would be very happy to source some external space to exhibit work. Many thanks!-Ceri
