Discover the Pentlands Open Studios Art Trail 2025

We are excited to share our news. Eighteen professional artists have been selected for the Pentlands Open Studios (POSt) art trail 2025. They are located in ten different venues. Our graphic designer, Ron Burnett, has crafted a map to be used in our brochure and flyers.

Clearly, some artists are sharing studio spaces. Web pages are being built for each artists. In the meantime, there is a zoomable Google map on the Artists page of our website. You can click the map pins there to see who will be where.

As well as artists welcoming you into their personal studios, we have been generously donated the use of some other spaces where you can also meet the artists and see them at work:

  • Craw’s Nest, Currie: (private business) space for three artists with a kitchen area and toilets just off Lanark Road West.
  • Colinton Village Enterprise: community charity-owned stone stables building. The Shed is located in Spylaw Park. There are toilets. This space operates the Pit Stop Cafe and information centre. Art Trail Maps can be picked up here as well as at each studio.
  • Hub@531: community charity-owned space for two artists in Juniper Green on Lanark Rd, also with kitchen and toilet facilities.
  • Malleny Garden greenhouse, Balerno. This beautiful National Trust Scotland garden has allowed us of their Victorian greenhouse for the weekend. Our botanical artist will show and demonstrate her work there.

We’re seeking sponsors and partners for POSt 2025. If you’re passionate about creative events and communities, and would like to connect your business, get in touch! Advertising space in the brochure is still available. Thousands of copies will be printed and distributed locally in August.

And we’re seeking volunteers to help prepare near the time and run the art trail event on the weekend itself. Save the date, Sat/Sun 30/31 August 2025! Contact us via the web site contact form.

Pentlands Open Studios (POSt) is produced by Pentlands Arts Festivals CIC as a not-for-profit community event. Our aim is to connect local artists to each other and to the community for mutual advantage. You can help POSt thrive by making donations.
