We are delighted to announce that, following our successful Call for Artists earlier this year, we have made our final selection and wanted to share our news with you.
Our aim this year is to build on our approach whilst widening our scope to include a greater diversity of highly talented artists and makers from all sorts of creative backgrounds and mediums. These exhibitors share our vision to promote creativity in our community by forging inspiring connections.
This year we are delighted to welcome 25 artists and makers spread across 12 locations – a mix of studios and interesting venues based in or near the four villages which make up the backbone of our Pentlands Open Studios (POSt) Art Trail. We are so grateful for their support and will be telling you more about them soon.
Our Art Trail, situated along the borders of the beautiful Water of Leith taking in the villages of Colinton, Juniper Green, Curries and Balerno, provides a unique opportunity this August to meet and talk to a whole range of artists and makers, some now becoming ‘regulars’ and others totally new to the Art Trail.
We’d like to introduce two of our new makers – Anne Gatherar (@annegatherarceramics), ceramacist and Rosemary Cambell (@rosemarycampbell45), textile artist.

Anne creates incredible domestic and sculptural thrown stoneware in her studio in Juniper Green and is inspired by organic forms such as pebbles, rock formations, waves, landscapes and snow.

Rosemary is inspired primarily by landscape and its ephemeral and transient nature which she skilfully captures in her beautiful textiles. (Photo provided)
If you’d like to meet our artists in person, put the date of the Art Trail in your diaries now – 15th-16th August, 2026.
We will be letting you know all the details nearer the time.
