The artist’s large images are painted in the traditional botanical style. They are depicted in pure watercolour, on smooth Fabriano artistico 5 HP 140 heavy NOT paper. The botanical images are drawn precisely to scale with the plant habit central to the picture and the diagnostic section of the flower and components and any other feature below. All the images are then digitised for reproduction. The work to be shown brings to the attention of the public the widespread dangerous advance of destructive invasive non-native plants in the Valley of the Water of Leith.
