Jennie Loudon

Jennie’s dolls are textile based soft sculpture. They are sewn by hand and machine. The dolls use predominantly repurposed fabrics and often incorporate found objects. Most of the larger pieces are jointed so they can be posed. Smaller “curiosities” are many and varied. Like the larger work, they are inspired by stories, snippets of conversation, or quotes. Sometimes, they come from a serendipitous combination of beautiful fabrics.

These dolls are not toys suitable for children but are designed for adult collectors. She exhibits, teaches and has work in collections both in the UK and further afield.
