Liza works with contemporary textiles, artist books, mixed media and printmaking. Her work is frequently abstract in nature. It addresses the impact of our presence in the landscape. Her creations range from collaged, stitched landscapes to 3D forms. These include artist books and installation pieces. They are frequently inspired by poetry and nature writing. Following a series of walks tracing the course of the Figgate/Braid/Bonaly Burn her work has focussed on the landscape of the Pentland hills and the source of Bonaly Burn in the Capelaw and Harbour Hill area.
