Pen explores the revival of the goddess with references to mythology, both ancient Celtic and Greek and place these references alongside familiar home interiors and gardens that connect to the daily lives of contemporary women.

She uses oil and acrylic on canvas, paper and found surfaces. She adds printmaking as layers over these materials. She has an MA in Fine Art from the Art Institute of Chicago.
