Rosemary Campbell is a textile practitioner whose work is informed by storytelling, memory, and an evocative sense of place. Drawing and painterly approaches underpin her process, realised through layered compositions and carefully developed surfaces. She works with silk, cotton, and muslin, hand-dyeing and embellishing these materials to create richly textured textiles that convey atmosphere and quiet emotional depth. Traditional methods form the basis of her practice, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens that allows imagery to overlap and unfold.
She studied printed textiles and embroidery at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. Campbell is an exhibiting member of Edge Textile Artists Scotland and an associate member of the Textile Study Group (UK). Recent exhibitions include Dundas Street Gallery and The Lillie Gallery, Milngavie (2024), and Tweeddale Museum and Art Gallery, Peebles (2025).
