Saskia has an enduring fascination with seeds and pods, which is evident in much of her work. She tends to play with multiples of shapes or forms that catch her attention, perhaps linking them, or assembling them to make larger solids.

She uses metal often, and sometimes other materials. This year she has been exploring different combinations of metals and other materials. Generally she prefers the limited range of colours of the metals themselves, developing texture to make patterns and contrast.
